Postmodern Reader Magnita by Pete Sans for Metalarte circa 1980

Magnita reading lamp, designed by Catalan designer Pete Sans for the Spanish publisher Metalarte in 1988. The conical base is articulated on a chrome ball joint that tilts the whole, while the polished aluminium conical shade rotates freely around the bulb, adjusting the light angle with precision. A red tip marks the top, the only touch of colour in this design characterised by vertical tension. A rare and graphic vintage piece. Works perfectly with a standard screw LED bulb.
