Pair of painted brass swans or ducks

A decorative pair of painted brass birds, reminiscing of swans or ducks. Made in india ("fabriqué aux indes" is written in french on stickers on the bottom of each base), likely in the 1960s. The heads are painted in green and gold, with a red eye. The bodies and feathers are painted with an amazing amount of detail in shades of grey and beige. The taller bird is 21 cm tall, 11.5 cm long, and weighs 380 grams. The shorter bird is 14 cm tall, 11.5 cm long, and weighs 340 grams. Lovely for home decor, can be arranged together in a variety of ways, as can be seen from the photos. In great vintage condition. In some places small scratches in the paint reveal the golden color of the brass underneath.
