Scandinavian Teak Wall-Mounted Telephone Shelf

Scandinavian wall-mounted teak shelf with two drawers and a black lacquered wire lower rack. Wall-mounted teak shelf of the type known in Sweden as a telefonhylla, developed in the 1950s-60s to hold the telephone and directories in the hallway. Two drawers with recessed pulls carved into the wood occupy the central band between shaped side panels; below, a black lacquered wire rack lightens the structure. A compact piece revealing the attention to everyday function typical of Scandinavian design. Good condition. It may show signs of age and use. Please pay close attention to the photographs. AF906.
