Metal set

Old iron-based workbench. The plateau is remarkable: 141x58x7cm, an exotic red wood essence the "tali". This one has been treated with a special wax that gives it a leathery and very silky appearance to the touch. The wood being split, I took the opportunity to add two pieces of metal carved in the shape of a butterfly scarifies the wood to stop the crack. The whole thing is very successful and make it a unique piece. The polished steel and the red of the wood match perfectly with the hammered green of the craft furniture (original color). The furniture was all rusty and I found it interesting to leave it in its juice without sanding or painting. I opted for a special steel protector that fixes the oxide and stops the spread of rust. The furniture - therefore brown spots - a few places and this gives it personality and attests to its age (no deep rust that affects the structure). The workbench has a drawer under the tray, two shelves, a closet and a storage space under the "tali" tray.
