Small bistro jug in flamed stoneware, barrel shape – 33 cl

Charming little bistro jug in glazed ceramic, featuring a very decorative barrel (or cask) shape. It is an iconic piece of French brasserie tables from the 1960s-1970s. The two-tone glazing work is remarkable: the lower part mimics the grain of wood and its raised barrel bands under a very shiny warm brown glaze. The upper part and the handle are adorned with a characteristic flamed cream beige glaze from that era. Engraved in relief under the base are the letter A and the model numbers 15.33cls. With a capacity of 33 cl, it is perfect for rustic kitchen decor, a retro bar, or for serving beer, wine, or cider on an authentic table.
