Very little biographical information can be found today about the danish architect-designer illum wikkelsø (1919-1999). Like most danish designers at the time, wikkelsø studied at a leading academy. His specialism was the design and manufacture of cabinets. He eventually graduated from the copenhagen school of arts & crafts. Later he held positions at the furniture maker jacob kjaer and the architectural firm of peter hvidt and orla molgaard-nielsen.
