Pair of Ilmari Tapiovaara stools for Laukaan Puu, Finland 1963

Rare stools designed by ilmari tapiovaara in 1963, hongisto model. The complete set is available, it is composed of a table with 2 chairs, 2 stools and a bench. Mountain chalet spirit, soft and warm, like charlotte perriand, ilmari tapiovaara cut her teeth with le corbusier. Made from solid, thick pine, combining a raw, minimalist style and subtle details, characteristic of the designer. The pieces are assembled by visible dowels, leaving a space between the elements. Practical, all the seats fit under the table. Exceptional condition. The whole has been restored, completely sanded, satin varnished and has no defects. Dimensions: 35x35 cm height 44 cm.
