Large old solid wood tray

Very beautiful old piece of varnished solid wood with carved handle and rim. Brought back by a traveling ancestor, it could originally be a traditional African game board such as awalé/mancala, whose patina of time has erased the squares. A rare, original, unusual object with lots of character which can be used as a tray, centerpiece or as a decorative object in its own right. We can imagine it just as much in a large rustic country kitchen as in a designer, minimalist or brutalist interior. Indicative dimensions in cm: 58.5 X 22 thickness 4. Weight 2.450 kg.
