Large old solid wood tray

Very beautiful old piece of varnished solid wood with handle and carved perimeter. Brought back by a traveling ancestor, it could originally be a traditional African game board type awale / mancala, whose patina of time has erased the boxes. An original, unusual rare object with a lot of character that can be used as a top, centerpiece or as a decorative object in its own right.
