Traditional hand-knotted Turkmen Bukhara carpet. Central Asia.

Large hand-knotted wool rug measuring 170 x 235 cm. The colours are preserved: a rich and beautiful palette dominated by deep madder red, burgundy, and orange, with touches of ivory, black, and blue. The gül patterns and medallions are arranged in regular rows. It has been made from pure hand-knotted wool, offering great density and excellent durability. It has been thoroughly cleaned with plenty of water. In good condition, you will note, however, the absence of fringes and some wear on the borders on the left side, over 50 cm. Several missing areas, mainly in the first third of the rug.
