Tripod screw stool

Pretty tripod stool in light solid wood whose height can easily be adjusted thanks to the thick threaded cylindrical stem. It was also called a painter's, sculptor's or watchmaker's stool. The seat, in turned wood, has a slightly thinner centered part, which can be practical for placing a flower pot or a lamp and perhaps makes the seat a little more comfortable. Its light color reveals the pretty grain of the wood. It must date from the 70s or 80s. It is in good general condition, solid and stable but does not hide some traces of time: slight marks on the feet, a barely visible halo left by a damp glass on the seat and two arc-shaped stripes on the upper circular part of the base which were hollowed out by two nails flush with the underside of the seat (when the stool is reduced to its minimum height). We also note a small space between the seat and the disc underneath, on a third of the perimeter, but this does not jeopardize its solidity, I think that it is original like this, because it does not move when you move. sits on it. It measures 51 cm in height when it is at its lowest, it can rise to approximately 63 cm in height, the seat measures 3.5 cm thick for a diameter of 29 cm. The base forms a triangle of approximately 30 cm side.
