Impression vintage de Victor Vasarely Op Art vers les années 70

Gorgeous, Op Art gallery print "BABEL - 3", by Victor Vasarely, from Editions du Griffon, Neuchâtel/Suisse, des annes 70. This print was part of a major series Vasarely worked on called "The Gestalt Series", which focused on his fascination with the hexagon. ~ The original print from 1971, measured at 105 cm x 83 cm. ~ This one, measures at 41 cm H x 41 cm W. ~ With the matte, it's 39cm H x 39 cm W and identifiable by the copyright used by Griffon, on the back of its editions. ~ Dimensions of the frame: 54cm H x 54 cm W x 3 cm D. ~ Print is in excellent, original condition. There are no rips, holes, tears, stains, etc. Because it was kept in its original frame behind glass with a matte, the multicolored, three-dimensional cube-shapes and cellular-like structures, remain bright and bold. ~ On the bottom, left-hand corner at the rear, is the identifiable, copyright from Griffon. ~ Light signs of age and use (dents, & dings) commensurate with time, on the original, silver-colored, brushed- metal frame.=, but nothing that detracts from the beauty of the piece. ~ The glass and matte have been replaced, as have the lining and mounting wire at the rear. With that said, the Griffon copyright stamp, name of the piece and year printed, are no longer visible, but a scan of that identifiable image, was made and placed on the right, bottom corner at the rear. This is truly a stunning piece of mid-century op art by a true master, that displays extremely well and will work as a beautiful accent piece in any given space.
