Ewald Kröner, one of Germany's most famous wall rug designers, designed this handmade wool decorative rug. Can be used on the floor or as a wall hanging, but there are no hooks installed. Produced at Schloss Hackhausen, a magnificent castle in Sollingen, Germany, where Kröner set up his own weaving workshop in the 1970s. The work bears Kröner's name and number #278 on the back, as well as a faded Schloss Hackhausen label. One rust-colored stain, otherwise in good condition, carefully cleaned.
