Description
Metal tea box from the time when lipton was still called lipton's tea. Sir thomas lipton, a grocer by trade in the beautiful city of glasgow, had the brilliant idea of going to see what was happening in ceylon (sri lanka), he bought a tea plantation there with the idea of democratizing this luxury drink. We are in the early hours of the 19th century... This box is not that old, but not very young either! Years 10-20… Whatever its age, it is superb, patinated and of a sublime color decorated with art nouveau decorations. Dimensions of the cube: 10x10x10cm.
