Ashtray « diamond « Murano

Very nice ashtray / empty pockets in sommerso glass from murano. Designed by flávio poli and produced by seguso (murano, italy) in the 1960s. "sommerso" (italian for "submerged") is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s that became very popular in the 1950s and 70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colors that is usually embedded by a light layer (here, transparent, yellow and blue). A design classic, this "diamond" ashtray from the 60s is timeless. Whether one is a smoker or not these pieces do not leave indifferent. As an ashtray, empty pocket or simply as a decoration for collectors, these pieces still fit perfectly in our contemporary interiors. Elegant and decorative. A small discreet shine on the inner edge.
