French walnut buffet 1890

Very beautiful antique solid wood buffet with three doors and three drawers, dating from the 18th century, in the pure provincial Louis XV style. Entirely period, this piece of furniture features a warm and authentic patina that highlights the nobility of its wood and the artisanal craftsmanship of its construction. Structure in walnut and oak, with a golden honey hue, and a raw wood top with pronounced grain. The front is richly moulded with typical Louis XV style shaped panels, and original wrought iron door hinges. Composed of three large drawers in the upper part, and three doors opening onto two levels of storage with shelves. Curved feet ending in sabot, and a shaped lower rail. Very good condition for a piece of this era despite signs of wear, old restorations, and marks of time that testify to its authenticity and charm. This piece represents the aesthetic that is both relaxed and refined of the French countryside and demonstrates the durability and quality of the construction technique. The drawer handles and lock fittings are missing but do not hinder its use as the drawers are hollow from underneath, allowing for easy opening.
