Beautiful and rare set of eight modernist Art Deco chairs. This set of eight chairs was designed and manufactured by Fa. Randoe Haarlem for the Haarlem City Hall. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak frames with original black lacquer upholstery. The backs and seats are upholstered in quality black leather. In very good condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. A real eye-catcher in your home or office. The modernist look of this beautiful set of eight Art Deco chairs by Fa. Randoe Haarlem is also known in the Netherlands as the Haagse School. This school was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch art magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. The most famous architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
