Exceptional large international transport pot for acid late 1800 early 1900. On the cap is inscribed the name of the victorian and edwardian glasgow chemical company: alexander hope junior & co. Ltd. In the center is drawn a boat anchor. At the bottom probably the translation of the company into a language of the southeast asian importing country. The cap screws in which guaranteed good safety for the transport of the acid. We also see two holes on the lid that allowed the cap to be firmly closed with a metal toothed tool. On the top side of the pot is stamped the name of the manufacturer: kennedy de barrowfield potteries. The pot is protected by a hand-braided rope. Very good vintage condition. Note that the inside of the cap has sandstone chips which does not prevent it from being screwed. Feel free to enlarge the photographs to see more details. Measurements: Height: 39 cm / 15, 35 in. Approximate diameter: 27 cm / 10.62 in. Weight: 7kg / 15.43lb.
