Panton System 123 Model E Lounge Chair

Chair in excellent condition designed in 1974 and manufactured by fritz hansen, red wool coating, chrome arms enhanced on a swivel aluminium base. The 1.2.3 system is a complete collection of furniture consisting of 20 different chairs that were all variations of the same shape. This ambitious furniture program was designed to fit all situations and objectives and was very well received by the public once it was presented at a furniture show in 1974. Verner panton is often considered one of the most influential danish designers of the 20th century. He contributed to the pop art movement in the 1960s with sleek styles representing the often-cited "space age" feel of the decade.
