Old front door made of solid oak with frame and transom – 19th century. Superb old front door made of solid oak, sold complete with its frame (door frame) and its arched transom. An architectural element of character, ideal for a renovation project of a manor house, farm building, or to add a unique historical touch. The door features a beautiful natural patina and robust joinery with four moulded panels (two large vertical panels at the top, two at the bottom), separated by an elegant central rail. It is equipped with a magnificent antique surface-mounted lock in black cast iron, fully functional. • Material: Solid oak. • Opening direction: Right-hand push (lock on the left, hinges on the right when viewed from outside to enter). • Hardware: Antique period lock with original handle on one side (a standard or vintage handle is needed for the other side). Sturdy wrought iron hinges. • Condition: In its original state with a superb patina of time. Some normal signs of use given its age. Note: the glass in the transom is missing. The lower plinth (water jet) needs to be planed or replaced for a perfect installation. • Restoration Option: Possibility to carry out the restoration of the lower plinth before sale, upon written request.
