Louis XV style convertible sofa toile de Jouy Chinoiseries

Convertible sofa 2 places in walnut style louis XV nineteenth century with concave and fiddled back and arched base. Completely restored in a traditional way 5 years ago with an upholstery fabric: cotton "indian" toile de jouy with patterns inspired by the orient with its monochrome chinoiseries of gray colors on a white background, the seat is very stable and solid. Carved fleurette moldings on the backrest, belt and base. Recessed armrest supports, characteristic of the style. The fabric is in very good condition, a small spot to the right of the seat visible on a "focus" photo. A shoulder is peeled off without affecting use; it is recommended to lift the bench seat by the seat belt (procedure for use with all seats).  Armchair very representative of the audacity of the cabinetmakers in seat of the time who lightened the carcasses and dared the curved lines inspired by nature and woman. The curve and arches of the convertible give elegance and refinement to all the places it occupies. A beautiful invitation in an entrance to deposit bags and clothes, in a music room or a boudoir. Precious armchair that does not tolerate the abandonment of modern postures but requires all respect to respect its design and the work of the craftsmen of yesteryear!
