Vallauris Art Deco barbotine candlestick

This three-branched candlestick in emerald green slip is a very beautiful piece, very decorative, which will not leave anyone indifferent, and which is the fruit of meticulous and surely complicated craftsmanship. Although not signed (which is surprising for such a piece), by comparison with other candlesticks using the same technique (weaving, strips with four fine coils) and the same enamel color, it can be almost certainly attributed to a ceramist from Vallauris in the 1950s. Perhaps even to Hubert Pernin who signed other very similar pieces. I cleaned it carefully (soapy water, toothpick, brush and fine paintbrush) and it took me a lot of time: in addition to the wax, it was covered in dust that had been encrusted for years in every corner! It still looks good for its age, but has a few accidents: several chips or small jumps on the green enamel (see photos), and it may have undergone a repair at the braided ring at the very top of a bobeche. Indeed, we can detect a fine crack, but if this is the case, the repair was very well done because it is very little visible, you really have to have your nose on it to see it. This candlestick measures 23 cm in height, 23 cm in width, 10 cm in maximum depth (at the base), the strips of 4 coils measure 2.5 cm wide, the bobeches measure approximately 4.5 cm in diameter.
