Pendant Lamp by Hans Agne Jakobsson, Sweden

Fantastic lamp made of thin pine slats on a pine base gives a fantastic warm light. Designed by hans-agne jakobsson who in 1951 founded his own lighting company hans-agne jakobsson ab in markaryd. He also designed lamps for his 2 other companies: ab ellysett, also in markaryd.lamps made entirely of pine wood; this was his first step into the lighting business and his biggest success. Ab ellysett made many pine lamps for ikea in the 1970s after his designs from the 50s and 60s. The material is the same, the construction too. When you have a lamp without a label, it is most likely a hans-agne jakobsson lamp made for ikea. Hans-agne jakobsson's pine slat pendant lamp was used as a prop in the 2020 american netflix television miniseries the queen's gambit. Lamp circumference 127 cm.
