This type of glass, colored and textured, diffuses a soft and warm light, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The glass is mouth-blown and opened hot by hand. The glass coloring technique used here was invented by emile gallé in the 19th century. The “city light” collection, inspired by urban lights, reflections and the ambiance of cities, brings a piece of this atmosphere to your interior. Gallé and daum, natives of nancy, in lorraine, are undoubtedly the most significant figures in the art of glass in the 19th century and brought glory to the nancy school founded by emile gallé. They excelled in ancient techniques. A century later, the masters of the nancy school, in 1976, “lumières de la ville” created and manufactured the first models of lights in glass paste, using ancestral processes.
