Robert Picault (1919-2000) A genius ceramicist, having worked closely with Picasso and Roger Capron, he created his own alquifoux (a mixture of lead sulfide and sand) and developed this very personal style inspired by the Muslim Middle Ages with geometric patterns drawn in two-tone, blue and manganese and especially green and manganese. He created a factory to honor the orders of the Aga Khan. Frying pan with perforated handle to be able to hang it as decoration but Robert Picault was the master of culinary ceramics. Small grain on the handle, visible in the photo but is in superb condition.
