This rare suite of eight chairs in stainless steel and looped wool was designed by the french designer paul legeard in 1970. The geometric structure formed of curved steel blades supports the seat cushion and the backrest, both reupholstered with fabric beige curly wool from dedar. Paul legeard's art deco and modernist influence is manifested through the strong lines of the steel structure and the elegant character of its seats. These chairs are very rare, and have been completely restored and reupholstered. Paul legeard (1901 - 1991) is a french furniture manufacturer. He began his career as a designer in the 1930s at baccarat, the flagship of french glassware. Inspired by modernist principles and the art deco movement, his style has become synonymous with understated sophistication. Légeard's innovative designs earned him prestigious awards, including the grand prix at the milan triennale in 1954.
