Thonet "Le Corbusier" armchair, circa 1905, star-shaped wooden seat

We won't dwell on the known history of this chair, but we will simply point out the perfect symmetry of this example; the photos taken from the front speak for themselves. The chair is in excellent condition, with a beautiful "medium walnut" patina. It has a shellac finish applied with a pad. The seat is made of perforated wood forming an 8-pointed star. Diameter: 47 cm, Total width: 54 cm, Seat height: 47 cm, Total height: 77 cm Label on the underside of the seat. This chair is dated 1902. More photos and information available upon request.
