This tribe is renowned for producing some of the best wool in the world and their rugs have a remarkably soft and fluffy texture. Each of our carefully selected ouarain blessed carpets has been woven knot by knot according to ancestral techniques transmitted from mother to daughter through the generations. The beni ouarain tribe traditionally uses raw wool, which is why it is more common to see these carpets in white/cream colors with natural black or brown patterns created by the wool of the black sheep of the flock. Today weavers play with greater artistic freedom by using colors based on natural pigments, which is why we have for our greatest happiness pretty colorful and thick béni ouarain carpets. Blessed ouarain carpets are historically made from undyed wool, so it must be of the highest quality. This is why weavers also focus on the upstream process of weaving, which consists of working with wool.
