Vintage candlesticks in glass by timo sarpaneva for iittala, 1960s, set of 3

Legend has it that the designer, the famous timo sarpaneva created it with... Himself. One day, he decided to design a wine glass that would hold an entire bottle of this dry beverage. Thus the idea of a vessel with an uneven surface resembling ice was born. The view of the finished design, however, made festivo come into being as a candle holder, becoming one of the many popular designs of the iittala brand, produced since 1967. This candle holder will work well both as a candle holder for a classic long candle or for a spherical candle. Preserved in original condition with no damage. Height of the smaller candle holder 8 cm - diameter 7.5 cm.
