Large, bright and elegantly understated, this antique glass-fronted bookcase in the Louis XVI style embodies the refinement of bourgeois furniture from the late 19th century. Fully sanded, it now reveals a very contemporary golden blonde hue, modernising its classic lines without altering its character. A piece that is both functional and decorative, designed to display as well as to structure a space. Materials: raw cherry wood. Features: the bookcase opens with two doors, glazed at the top and solid at the bottom. The overhanging cornice is highlighted by a frieze of dentils, emblematic of the Louis XVI vocabulary, while the fluted pilasters structure the façade and enhance its vertical elegance. The solid and slightly protruding base ensures a stable and elegant visual foundation. Inside, it offers three shelves, the height of which can be adjusted thanks to a system of brackets. Renovation: this antique bookcase has undergone repairs and reinforcements before being sanded and washed. The door no longer has a lock, so a magnet has been installed to ensure it closes properly. Dimensions: L106.5 X D38 X H186. Interior: L97 X D29 X H172.
