The return of barbotine with this vintage french ceramic oven dish in the shape of a chili pepper. 🌶 the term barbotine, from the verb barboter, designates a mixture of water, clay and marl diluted in a fluid and sifted form. Slip decoration consists of adding slip reliefs to pottery. Pottery decorated in this way is called “barbotines”. They were widely produced between 1870 and the second world war.
