It is made in portugal by agatha - fábrica de material didáctico, a company that used to produce school material in the 50s. This box contains twelve large illustrated alphabet stamps. In other words, there are several different letters of the alphabet illustrated by an object whose name is written with that letter. The alphabet is in order and so this box corresponds the alphabet from the letter "a" to the letter "l". However, the letter "h" is repeated because I think that at that time the letter "k" was not incorporated in the portuguese alphabet, I.e. There were no words in the dictionary beginning with the letter "k". Also keep in mind that the names are in portuguese, corresponding to the portuguese alphabet. The representation of the letter is always written in lower case, so we have: the letter "a" for tree - "árvore"; the letter "b" for ball - "bola"; the letter "c" for bed - "cama"; the letter "d" for dice - "dado"; the letter "e" for mare - "égua"; the letter "f" for funnel - "funil"; "g" for collar - "gola"; "h" for helicopter - "helicoptero"; "i" for church - "igreja; "j" for window - "janela" and finally the letter "l" for moon - "lua". The box is complete with the twelve stamps, the legend appears on the face of the box. The stamps are in national pine wood covered on one side with the rubber stamp. As you can see by the photos the stamps were used, and quite used, they are with many ink remains, have the rubber and the wood very stained with old ink. But the stamps are intact. The box also shows its wear from use, with some stains, mainly on the corners and edges, with tears and a lot of wear because the cardboard is very fragile. There is even a black ink stain on the cover. The inside of the box is stained with impressions from the stamps. However the stamps are very good, they stamp well. These stamps are in good vintage condition. It is a very interesting object to offer or for those who like the graphic arts will have its interest.
