2 dishes 37 cm Japan earthenware from Creil and Montereau

Set of 2 large earthenware serving dishes from creil and montereau, japan model or known as monet because it furnished the painter's house in giverny. Dating from the 1880s, they bear the traces of time for one: a 2cmx4 cm missing/chip on the edge and a 7cm crack crossing from the edge to the middle but it is thin, discreet on the face and is hardly noticeable (everything is on the photos, enlarge if necessary), slight cracks in the enamel, minimal firing defects on the reverse, the second is in very good general condition, no chips or cracks, enamel not cracked, however minimal firing defects, one on the spot, some rough edges on the back. They remain very beautiful, blue and magnificent patterns, the background is a bluish white, characteristic of this model. Diameter 33 cm.
