Gilt Bronze Fireplace Trim, stamped Japy Frères & Cie – Late 19th century

This gilded bronze fireplace set consists of a clock stamped japy frères & cie as well as a pair of candlesticks. The tiered rectangular clock features decorations of acanthus leaves, friezes and a goddess mask on its facade. At the cushioning, a large cut with chimera handles brings a masterful style to this timepiece. The white enameled dial graduated at the hours and quarter hours is highlighted with an openwork pattern in brass. Two lion-muffled rings adorn the sides. This clock rests on four claw feet. The candlesticks are identical. Each of them has three scrolled sconces and a straight central one. These arms support finely chiseled bobeches and chalices decorated with acanthus leaves. The barrels are turned, they end independently in a circular pedestal. This trim will bring a grandiose dimension to your interior decoration.
