Vintage photography by Emmanuel Sougez 1933

Film print on period barium paper of a 1933 photograph by emmanuel sougez. Entitled "lingerie" by the author it represents an impressive pile of tea towels. The light, perfect, magnifies the material of the fabric, sougez worked with a large room that allowed him to obtain these details. This draw is a contact made without enlargement directly from the negative. Emmanuel sougez (1889-1972) is a french photographer known for his precision work in the room and his impeccable compositions. Dora maar considered him his master, he was also one of the photographers of the louvre museum.
