Oak work table, 1850

Very nice oak work table (which can be considered as a farm table) of the eighteenth century in solid oak. Its particularity comes from the fact that originally it is a very large table in two parts, totaling 4.20 meters in size. This table was located at the headquarters of the hospices civils de lyon. Another particularity, its great age and its exceptional condition. Its feet turned with finesse gives it a beautiful lightness. Finally its other strong point is its width (depth) of almost 1 meter which allows to eat around a large table with room for all the guests. No attack on the wood, no play. A restoration was done consisting of sanding and the application of a matte acrylic varnish. The table of very nice workmanship is also very solid and stable on its feet. Its height under headband is 61 cm, the perfect size. A very nice piece, unique.
