Black-bottomed enamelled porcelain vase - Japan

Vase with rich polychrome enamelled decoration of birds of paradise and several varieties of flowers on a black background. Yellow and white collar, base with a vegetable motif in frieze. Marked "made in japan" under the base. Mid-20th century. Good general condition, age wear and use of enamel, some slight traces and stains, shards present under the base, including a more important one. The photos are part of the description.
