Description
Architect's table called "à la trochin" in mahogany from cuba, late louis XVI period, around 1790. The "tronchin table" or "à la tronchin" desk was created during the reign of louis XVI by the doctor théodore tronchin (1709-1781) of geneva origin. At the time, he was researching bone diseases - frequent consequences of a bad position adopted by architects at their work table. Our inlaid furniture of a beautiful mahogany of cuba opens by a drawer on the front, 2 side pulls wrapped in leather. The tray, also wrapped in leather, is composed of 3 articulated planes to position the worktop at the height and inclination requested. This table rests on 4 sheathed legs ending in bronze clogs and casters. This piece of furniture has been revised (the original mechanism works perfectly) and revarnished in our workshop (cabinetmaker approved historical monuments) so it is in excellent condition. Height: 81 cm. Width: 78 cm. Teacher: 43 cm.
