Beautifully decorated with flowers in purple, yellow and pink colours, imari porcelain has been produced since the 17th century. Imari porcelain is the european collective name for japanese porcelain made in the city of arita, and exported from the port of imari, to europe since 1659. The imari style is recognizable by its three dominant colors: the cobalt blue, the iron red and the white porcelain background (these colors are not exclusive).
