Vase cut picnicks in white glazed ceramic, with pineapple leaves signed in hollow jean roger paris under the base. Period: circa 1960. Height: 35 cm. Very good condition. Located in the parisian marsh since 1947, the jean roger workshop creates art ceramics in the respect of the know-how of earthenware known as grand feu. In 1952, he exhibited at the ateliers d'art de france, ancestor of the maison et objet show, consecrating him to professionals and decorators who crowded his stand. In 1968, after studying at the ecole du louvre, his son jean-jacques came to work alongside his father and in 1978, they set up the workshop place des vosges. The historic pieces have toured the world, from the salons of the dior or jansen houses to the apartments of coco chanel or jean royère.
