Restored side table

Small table in oak (for the belt) and beech (for the feet), top painted green (sikkens acrylic paint) with hand-painted puffin decoration. Furniture completely restored according to the following steps: (see before/after photos) The structure and drawer were unclipped, unnailed and stripped. Damaged parts were repaired and those that could not be saved were changed. The drawer has been reassembled with a new bottom and sliding system. The whole has been sanded with abrasives of different grains in order to have a clean and smooth surface. Different finishing products for the protection and final appearance of the furniture were applied, two layers of fondur (product used as a primer), two layers of shellac (patina based on wax and natural resin) and two layers of wax to patina, with a very fine steel wool trimming between each layer. Finally, the table has been polished with different materials (cotton, wool and brush). Ideal for side tables, consoles or small desks.
