Original Villeroy & Boch Acapulco serving tray, featuring one of the manufacturer’s most recognisable and collectible designs from the 1970s. The exuberant decoration depicts stylised birds, flowers and foliage in vivid orange, red, blue, purple, yellow and green. The pattern was based on an original Mexican design, as stated on the Villeroy & Boch backstamp, and perfectly captures the colourful, graphic spirit of the period. Made in Luxembourg from Vitro-Porcelain, the elongated oval tray has a raised rim and integrated handles at either end. A particularly decorative piece that works equally well as functional tableware or as a display object. Maker: Villeroy & Boch. Pattern: Acapulco. Country: Luxembourg. Period: 1970s. Material: Vitro-Porcelain. Design: Polychrome birds and floral motif, after an original Mexican design. Dimensions: approx. 34 cm wide including handles × 18 cm deep. Condition: Good vintage condition with almost no signs of age and use. Ref. 26195.
