Pair of Marble and Bronze Cassolettes – Late 19th Century

Each of these cassolettes presents a gilded bronze basin decorated with a medallion representing an ancient sportsman on one and a chariot race on the other. Two thin, long handles adorn these basins. These elements rest on flaring barrels, supported by black marble pedestals, covered on the three visible sides with sea green marble slabs.
