Bulldog from the Stora Zoo series (Great Zoo) designed in Sweden by Lisa Larson (1931-2024) between 1955 and 1995. Made of partially glazed stoneware and standing 13 cm tall, the bulldog was produced between 1960 and 1968 by the Gustavsberg company. This is just one of the many figures created by Lisa Larson that have been admired and collected by generations. Lisa Larson (1931–2024) was one of Sweden's most celebrated ceramicists and designers, and a key figure in mid-20th century Scandinavian design. Her style is unmistakable due to her rounded shapes, expressive faces, and a perfect blend of humour and tenderness. Excellent vintage condition, with no breaks, cracks, or restorations.
