Brutalist dining set in solid pine, consisting of an extendable table and six armchairs, designed in the 1970s by Rainer Daumiller and manufactured by Hirtshals Savværk in Denmark. Daumiller's sculptural solid pine furniture is now among the most sought-after pieces of Danish brutalism: powerful, honest in their material, and with a timeless presence. These armchairs are for us the most beautiful model by Daumiller: a clear shape, round legs ending in a hemisphere at both the top and bottom, and a curved backrest-armrest that rests on the supports like a single ribbon. The ergonomic seat is carved from solid wood and offers astonishing comfort. The table follows this formal language: the top, slightly curved along the lengths and widths, rests on cylindrical solid wood legs. It opens and is designed for an extension; the extension is not included. The set has been fully restored: carefully cleaned, sanded, and revarnished. The solid pine reveals its lively grain and offers a wonderfully soft and warm touch. Condition: very good vintage condition – fully restored, stable, and perfectly functional. Light signs of use due to age, which highlight the character of the wood. Without extension. A rare and expressive set for lofts and exceptional interiors. Table dimensions: approximately 130 × 85 × 75 cm (width × depth × height) Chair dimensions: approximately 59 × 49.5 × 76.5 × 45.5 cm (width × depth × height × seat height).
