Japanese jewelry box in black lacquered wood with phoenix decoration.

Very beautiful japanese box on black lacquered wooden legs. The decoration representing a phoenix and 4 groups of flowers at the corners is in light relief. The phoenix is a symbol of renewal and immortality. Decorations also on the sides a little faded in places. Dimensions: 18 X 15.5 X 6.5cm the lock is present, but no key. Signature and inscription "made in japan" below the box. A few lacquer breaks from use (see photos) and the box is very slightly wobbly. Look carefully at all the photos, they are worth description. Ask me more if necessary. Beautiful lacquer, interior in very good condition and great originality. Very beautiful decorative object.
