Hungarian floral abstract painting, Akos Biró

Akos biró {attr.} -- 1911 (nagykdroly, hungary) – 2002 (mougins) -- 'untitled' -- late 20th century - oil on board -- signed ‘acos biro’ -- 350 × 450 mm -- unframed, but mounted under passepartout ---- This might well not actually be by biró (‘acos’ in the signature is usually, though not always, spelled with a ‘k’), but if not it is certainly a very spirited homage and, on its own terms, painted with conviction and full of the colour, movement, and deep involvement with landscape and folk energy typical of the hungarian master’s work.
