Set of 5 snail plates in fire porcelain, Gien manufactures France 70s'. TBE

Set of 5 snail dishes/plates from the famous ceramic factory of gien, located in the loire valley, north of the france. These plates were made around 1970. They are distinguished by their rather heavy weight (480 g each) and their ability to withstand the heat of the oven, thanks to their fire-glazed porcelain. Each plate has twelve small wells specially designed to accommodate the snails, and they are equipped with two small handles to facilitate service.
