Postmodern Italian silicone wall lamp model Drop 1 by Marc Sadler for Arteluce, 1990s.

Striking wall lamp by the Italian manufacturer Arteluce, designed by Marc Sadler in the early 1990s. A functional lamp and a remarkable object due to its special materiality. The front made of silicone elastomer is elastic and primarily defined by the material and shape that determine the lamp's appearance. The shade rests on a base made of coloured transparent plastic (Lexan polycarbonate). Thanks to the silicone diffuser, the lamp emits a soft light. The orange plastic edge of the base casts a coloured reflection like an aura on the wall. The Drop model received the Compasso d'Oro in 1995. Unfortunately, it is no longer in production and is therefore rare to find.
