Description
This sublime black crystal cut is adorned with enamelled and silver geometric patterns. It is a work by michel herman, a parisian glassmaker of the 1930s. Conical in shape, installed on a square base, this cut is superb. In a superb set of clean spheres and lines, we discover these forms characteristic of art deco. The ornament is enamelled pink and silver on a black background. This enamelled glassware is signed hem. "hem" is the acronym for "herman michel", a glass decorator active in paris in the 1920s and 1930s. It is a rare model and produced in a few copies. A true collector's item. In good condition, this superb cut measures 20.5 cm in diameter and 12 cm in height. I report traces of use and scratches, as well as enamel wear in some places.
